Sir Richard Owen, (1804 – 1892) is famous for coining the word
Dinosauria, from the Greek δεινός (deinos) "terrible, powerful, wondrous" + σαῦρος (sauros) "lizard." ...and arguing with Darwin.
Here, he is debating whether or not to spend his Sunday afternoon digging up more bones or attending the Elora Writers' Festival.
